As part of the scholarship for architecture from the Academy of Arts in Berlin, Philipp Valente had the opportunity to live in a studio in the old academy at Berlin’s Tiergarten for three months.
During this time, Philipp dealt more intensively with the issues of structural change in the Ruhr area and planned several art installations and tested them in the studio. At the same time, he was able to take the opportunity to meet and exchange ideas with local architects and freelance artists.
Unfortunately, overshadowed by the corona pandemic, some hurdles arose during the stay, so that it was not possible, for example, to hold the Open Studios, where interested parties would have been able to talk to Philipp about his work and installations in the studio.
Instead, Elisabeth Börnicke and Julia Milz were commissioned as young media designers to make a short film about the Open Studio.
