In the municipality of Eching in Bavaria, we organised an architectural competition for constructing a new fire station with a large roof.

The various uses are combined under one large roof to strengthen the community character and to form a strong house from the fragments.

The building body initially intends to continue and strengthen the existing spatial structure. In this regard, the important thing is the frequent and fast-moving main road and the very present slope of the slope. The location of an elongated volume on the northern edge of the property creates a spacious and clearly defined outdoor space in the south, which enables optimal access, usability and sun exposure. The generous gesture anchors the new building in the room, the internal organization provides the right answers to the very different sides. This creates a concise address and identity for collaborative work and meetings.
