Stele

The Mucherwiesental goes its way up and down the mountain. A total of nine curves are distributed along the route of the artistic realization competition. Each curve opens up the view of the next curve and finally the view of the Mäcki hut.

The design thought is to accentuate these curves and have a constant perception of each station/stage. At the same time, nature should not lose focus and become part of the installation.

The poetry becomes the main element here, as it underscores nature, but does not over-form it. At the same time, the dissected quotes encourage the cyclist to put them together mentally as he drives past.

The vertical steel pillars also fit discreetly into the structure of the trees, and yet the material and its color create a striking contrast so that it can be seen from afar.

A total of twelve stations are thus formed on the ascent and descent, with the first and last column not forming a corner and only depicting the short background story described on one side.

Through the lyrical texts, Bad Honnef and its surroundings are given a meaning that in turn triggers the writers. A historical significance that local residents are often unaware of and that deserves special emphasis.
