The exhibition in SUPERRAUM Dortmund shows two contemporary positions by the photographer Erieta Attali and the architect Philipp Valente, whose main motif is the connection between architecture and landscape. In addition to simply depicting a perspective, fictional spaces, volumetric studies and landscape references are discussed. Each work develops its own visual language and challenges the viewer to engage in spatial exploration.
Whether glass and sky, asphalt and sand, steel and trees: the fusion of architecture and landscape has always been an inevitable factor in building. In particular, since the 19th century, buildings made of glass, steel and concrete have had an intangible connection to their natural surroundings.
The overlay of structures, reflections, filters and transparencies becomes an important design tool and fascinates with its ambiguous representation of reality.
The exhibition in Dortmund runs for a period of two months (December 2022-January 2023).
